How Softly Intelligence works
Softly Intelligence turns the data you log into gentle observations — always on your device, and never a diagnosis.
Engine 1.2.0 · Knowledge base 2026.08.1
What it does
It looks only at the information you enter — flow, pain, symptoms, mood, energy, tests, temperature, medicines, digestion, activity and lifestyle — to recognise your own patterns across cycles. It also covers heavy periods, premenstrual mood changes (PMDD), absent periods, perimenopause, menstrual migraine and changes in discharge.
How it does it
It uses transparent, deterministic rules written in advance and based on guidance from the NHS, NICE, ACOG and the World Health Organization. There is no generative AI, and nothing is sent to a server. The same data always gives the same result.
How it stays careful
- It describes what it notices in your data and never names a condition as yours.
- A day you didn't log is treated as unknown, never as "no symptoms".
- Patterns need at least two or three complete cycles before Softly mentions them.
- Links between lifestyle and symptoms are shown as associations, never as causes.
- Signs that need prompt medical attention always appear first.
- It stays quiet when a message wouldn't apply: in pregnancy mode, with hormonal contraception, while breastfeeding or after birth, and according to age.
What it doesn't do
It doesn't diagnose, doesn't prescribe treatment and doesn't share your data. Insights are observations, not medical advice. Ovulation and fertile-window estimates are not a method of contraception. Predictions are estimates based on your personal history and can change.
